Zell am See-Kaprun benefits from ideal access by road. In combination with the picturesque Alpine panorama, your drive here will also turn into a pleasant sightseeing tour. Zell am See-Kaprun is around a 2.5-hour drive from Munich and about one-and-a-half hours from Salzburg.
Coming from Germany, we suggest using the Munich-Salzburg autobahn and taking the Siegsdorf exit. Continue via Inzell and Saalfelden to Zell am See. At the intersection just before Zell am See, turn left in the direction of Thumersbach, and after 5 km you will have reached Panorama Camp Zell am See on your right-hand side. If you travel via this route, you will not need to buy a toll sticker required for use of the Austrian autobahns.
Coming from Italy, take the autobahn heading to Salzburg and then, when you reach Bischofshofen, turn off in the direction of Zell am See. Shortly before Zell am See, at the roundabout take the first exit following the signs for Thumersbach. For this route, you will require an autobahn toll sticker.
Coming from Switzerland, take the Inntal Autobahn, exiting in Wörgl and following signs for Felbertauern, continuing via Wörgl – Kitzbühel – Mittersill – Zell am See. For this route, you will require an autobahn toll sticker.
